Who runs AskLoop

AskLoop (askloop.app) is operated by an independent developer based in Japan. For anything in this policy, write to support@askloop.app.

Two kinds of people, two sets of data

Creators connect AskLoop to Claude and build surveys. Respondents open a link and answer one. What we hold about each is different, so they are described separately below.

A creator decides what their survey asks and why, so for the answers it collects, the creator is the one in control of that content. AskLoop stores and processes those answers on the creator's behalf.

If you are answering a survey

What we store

What we deliberately do not store

One caveat worth stating plainly: creators can add free-text questions, and whatever you type into one is stored and shown to them. Do not enter information you would not want that person to have.

Where your answers can show up

Answers go to the person who made the survey. That person can also publish a summary page at a link anyone can open without signing in. The summary shows counts for multiple-choice questions only — free-text answers never appear there, not even the question they belong to. Your individual response is never published on its own.

The one cookie

Opening a survey stores a single cookie for that survey. It holds a random value — no personal data, and nothing that can recognise you anywhere else — and exists only to keep one person from answering the same survey twice. It works only on that survey's page and expires after a year. Blocking it does not stop you from answering.

Used to show the page, then discarded

To render the page we look at your approximate time zone (so a closing time appears in your local time) and your browser's preferred language (to choose between English and Japanese). Both are used on the spot and not stored.

Bot protection

Response pages use Cloudflare Turnstile so that automated submissions do not flood a survey. Turnstile examines signals from your browser and connection to judge whether you are a person; Cloudflare states that it does not use these signals for cross-site tracking or advertising. Details are in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Turnstile Privacy Addendum. Turnstile is the only third-party component a response page loads.

If you create surveys

Analytics

We keep aggregate statistics about how the service is used — surveys created, responses submitted, and the like — to operate and improve it. These contain no answer content, no email addresses, and no IP addresses. There is no third-party analytics, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracker anywhere in AskLoop.

Who else handles the data

PolarSubscription billing, for creators who upgradePrivacy Policy

The upgrade page — and only that page — loads Polar's checkout component from a content delivery network. Response pages load nothing of the kind. AskLoop runs on a global network, so data may be processed in any country where our providers operate.

How long we keep things

Your choices

Creators can read, export, or delete their own surveys and responses at any time through Claude. Drafts can be edited freely, but once a survey is published its questions are fixed, and individual responses cannot be edited — only deleted along with the survey. Write to us if you need something changed.

Respondents: because we hold nothing that identifies you, we usually cannot find one particular response on request. If you want an answer removed, the fastest route is the person who sent you the survey — they can delete the response or the whole survey. You are also welcome to write to us and we will help where we can.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of your personal data. Write to support@askloop.app and we will respond.

Children

AskLoop is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material will be described on this page.
